Reporter and Photographer Killed During Live TV Broadcast [VIDEO]

Reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward, of TV station WDBJ, were shot and killed during a live morning broadcast at Bridgewater Plaza near Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia on Wednesday (8/26).

Part of the incident, just before 9:00 a.m. eastern, was broadcast live. Police are searching the area for the gunman and have not yet released any other details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and colleagues of both broadcasters.

**Update from CNN: Two videos posted on a Twitter account under the name Bryce Williams showed someone walking up to the WDBJ news crew and pointing a gun at them. One of the videos shows the gun firing. Another tweet says, "I filmed the shooting." The same two videos -- playing together in one post -- appear on a Facebook page under the same name. Minutes after these videos appeared, the Twitter account was inaccessible; a message on the page said the account was suspended.
