Who doesn't remember hearing radio legend, Casey Kasem close out American Top 40 every weekend with.."Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars." After a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia, which is often difficult to differentiate from Parkinson's, Casey Kasem died early this morning (Sunday) at the age of 82.

Here's a statement from Casey's daughter, Kerri via Facebook this morning.

"Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our Dad."

I hope that everyone involved does the right thing now.  We've all been following the court battles between Casey's wife Jean, and his children from his first marriage.  Its time to start the healing process, and let this man rest in peace.

We love you Casey!  Thank you for all the wonderful memories throughout the years. You've inspired and entertained millions around the globe.  There will never be another like you.
