If anything, watching the Golden Globes made me realize how behind I am on watching everything else lol.  There were a number of shows and movies that were nominated that have really peaked my interest.  Here's just a few:

The Theory of Everything

The most amazing love story ever.  Girl meets genius guy named Stephen Hawking.  They fall in love.  He gets diagnosed with motor neuron disease.   The film is an adaption of Jane Wilde Hawking's memoir Traveling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen.

Boyhood

From what I know of this film, it was shot over a 12 year period.  As far as the plot-line goes, not sure.  Even the trailer seems vague, but watching a kid grow up (for real) in a movie is pretty insane.  I'm intrigued.

Transparent

It's the story about a family who finds out their father is transgender.  This is the first original series from Amazon Studios to win a Golden Globe, showing that these online networks can hold their own against traditional TV networks.

Selma

Follows Martin Luther King's campaign to secure equal voting rights including the historic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.  I know this will probably rip my heart out and I will probably need a tissue box for this one, but as they say, sometimes the truth hurts.  It's a painful period in our history that we don't seem to be quite over just yet.
