Police: Wrong Way Driver Causes Crash On Highway 23
ST. CLOUD - A Sauk Rapids man was hurt in a crash with a wrong way driver. St. Cloud police say it happened just after 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Twenty-eight-year-old Mohamed Rage of St. Cloud was going east in the westbound lane of Highway 23 when he struck a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Daren Protolipac of Sauk Rapids. Protolipac was making a left turn to go west on Highway 23 from 7th Avenue South.
He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Rage was taken to the hospital for a mental health review. The case is being sent to the county attorney's office for possible 2nd degree assault charges against Rage.
