ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police say one person was struck and killed by a train in southeast St. Cloud this (Thursday) morning.

The incident happened at about 7:00 a.m. at the 7th Street Southeast crossing. The name of the person killed has not been released.

Earlier we had reports of two people being hit by the train, but updated information is that it was just one.

Both the 7th Street Southeast crossing, and the East St. Germain Street crossing were closed to through traffic until 10:30 a.m.

The train was allowed to leave the area around 10:30 a.m. and police took the barricades down at that time.

We'll have more on this story throughout the day today.
