Meet Maddie and Penelope at the Tri-County Humane Society.

Tri-County Humane Society

Maddie is a nine year old Rat Terrier mix looking for a new duet partner. Her previous owner said if you start singing, she will join right in! They also said she was playful and peaceful with school-aged children, as well as other dogs and even cats. She has great fun with stuffed toys and a rawhide bone is her kind of pacifier. She prefers to be covered up when she sleeps, so don’t be surprised if she tries to burrow under the covers with you in bed. Maddie is spayed and house-trained. She loves to go for walks and car rides.

Tri-County Humane Society

Penelope is a 6 year old spayed cat and has been patiently hanging out on her perch at the shelter since July 21st. She was surrendered because her owner was moving. Unfortunately, Penelope wasn’t allowed at the new destination. She has never lived with other cats or dogs, so she would probably prefer to continue to be the only pet. She enjoys being talked to and will plop right on your lap for some up close attention. If you have a quiet home and think it is just a little too quiet, consider bringing Penelope into your home and heart. It would enrich your life as well as hers!
