Meet Katie and Starr: Two beautiful ladies ready to brighten your day, everyday!

Katie is a true gem. She is 6 years, spayed and declawed. Katie came to our shelter because she was frightened of the dog in her previous home. In the past, she was super sweet toward children of all ages and other felines, but clearly prefers a no dog zone! A mature cat like Katie is relatively mellow and relaxed most of the time, but she still finds time to play a game or two. You can visit her at the adoption center in Petco. If you adopt Katie, stop by the shelter to pick up her supplies which include a cat tower and crate.

Check out this shining “Starr!” Starr is a 1 ½ year old German Shepherd Dog. She came to the shelter due to landlord issues in the previous home. Starr did not do well with small children, cats or other dogs in the past. The best environment for her would be a home with only adults and no other pets. Starr is intelligent and can’t wait for her new owner to show her the ropes about obedience. Sometimes she thinks she’s a lap dog and she really likes one-on-one attention. With an experienced dog owner to guide her, Starr could be a faithful friend and ally. She is spayed and housetrained.
