My eyes have been opened to a new way that I can explore and have fun with my kids. Our great friends Dave & Sam Switzer popped in the studio this morning to share a new activity that they've been entertaining.  It's called Geocaching!  This is the greatest outdoor super cool activity I've ever seen.  Geocaching is a real world, outdoor treasure hunting game that uses GPS enabled devices that leads you to a geocache, (a fancy word for "container"), that's hidden at specific GPS Coordinates.

HOW IT WORKS

To get started, you want to register first for the free membership. Just go to www.geocaching.com to register. Then visit the hide and seek cache page, which contains hundreds if not thousands of different coordinates for geocache's all over the world.  The neat thing is, there are probably many geocache's near you! They range from beginner to advanced, and once you locate a geocache, you can sign the log, and take something out, and put something in of equal value, and then put the geocache back into its original position for someone else to find.

WHERE ARE GEOCACHE'S LOCATED

Geocache's typically represent a place or something important to the person who placed it there.  They range from at the end of a hiking trail, to inside a tree, in a park, underwater...They could be anywhere.

ANY DAY ANY TIME ADVENTURE WAITING TO HAPPEN

If you've got some extra time to kill while you're waiting on an appointment, or just don't have plans for your weekend, this could be just for you. Watch the video below for more information. Thanks Sam and Dave for bringing us this great idea!
