ST. CLOUD - If you want to have a say in what the downtown St. Cloud streets will look like in the future, you'll have a chance to give your input Tuesday. The Downtown Council is hosting a "Downtown Streetscaping" open house.

President Pegg Gustafson says the upgrades will be done next year in conjunction with the 5th Avenue road construction project.

So on 5th Avenue they actually have to redo everything. On St. Germain Street all of that really isn't required, it's more surface types of things. But, we're looking for the same look and feel, and it needs an update.

Back in June the city hired Stantec Consulting Services to help update the downtown streetscape and urban design plan. The designs will go to the planning commission, and then the city council, for approval as soon as this coming spring.

The Open House is from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Downtown Council offices at 501 St. Germain Street.
