If you're not afraid of a little cold weather, there are some great ways to ring in the new year tonight!

 

How about some fireworks? You can even stay in your warm car if you find the right parking spot!

The 2nd Annual Thunder Over The Cloud fireworks display kicks off at Lake George tonight.  St. Cloud Mayor Kleis will lead the countdown to the new year followed by fireworks at Midnight. You can warm up with free coffee, hot cider and bagel bites with cream cheese in the warming house. The event is free and open to the public.

St. Cloud State University is celebrating the New Year with their annual New Years Eve Family Fun Fest, and everyone is welcome! Join the festivities from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There will be a variety of activities at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center and Halenbeck Hall.  Open skate, moonlight skate, bingo, arts and crafts, inflatable games, kiddie land and more. Food concessions are available with a larger selection this year. Adults are $5 and children 12 and under are $3. Bring a food shelf donation to get  $1 off of your admission price.
