New Parking Meters Installed Outside Stearns Courthouse

ST. CLOUD -- The new state-of-the-art parking meters are being installed outside of the Stearns County Administration Center today (Tuesday).

The meters will allow people to pay for their parking spot with coins or credit and debit cards. Parking rates will remain at 50 cents per hour.

As of now, the meters are only in this plaza lot, but city officials are looking to replace older meters around the city which are reportedly starting to fall apart.

The meters are being installed as a pilot project by the city. After one year, the meters will be checked for functionality, customer response and performance.
