My Road Trip to the Kansas City Zoo [VIDEOS / PICTURES]
No trip to Kansas City, Missouri would be complete without a stop at their world famous zoo. It only took us 8 hours from St. Cloud, and it was a very easy drive on 35 South. The Kansas City Zoo has over two miles of trails. Needless to say, I got a ton of exercise on my visit. You can take a safari through Africa, hang out in the Kid Zone, hit the Tiger Trail, or hang out down under in Australia.
I was impressed with the amount of things to do and see. I was also very thankful to discover the Zebra Tram and Train. It was a great way to get around the zoo and take everything in. Don't get me wrong, I loved all the walking, but the older I get, the harder it is to keep going after 4 hours.
I took a ton of pictures and video. I didn't know which to use for this post, but I think these best capture the beauty and uniqueness of the zoo.
The Kansas City Zoo is open year-round. For more information visit their website or call (816) 595.1234.
I took some cool videos while hanging out in the Kid Zone. I especially love the playful Polar Bear and cute Penguins.
