What is your first memory from childhood? Is it an outing with your parents? Playing with your friends? Your favorite song? What about a terrible trip to the dentist? A new poll by the website mymemory.com surveyed more than 15 hundred people and the number one answer was a terrible trip to the dentist. The average earliest memory is from about the age of four, and most people remember the dentist, birthday parties, going on vacation, their first day of school, and going to the doctor. I just remember being two years old and dancing to Blondie up at the cabin. I think I blocked the dentist memories. Sorry, Dr. Hinding.

I just learned this today and mark my words. I am going to have the cleanest house on the block! A new list from Reader's Digest says that doing housework burns crazy calories. Cooking burns 150 calories an hour, but you just have to be careful not to "sample" too much or else you're just counteracting all the good you're doing. Sweeping and mopping both work your upper and lower body and burn 240 calories an hour. Good thing I have hardwood floors. No word on how many calories you burn vacuuming, but I have a feeling it's quite a few. Painting also works your upper and lower body and burns 290 calories an hour. Mowing the lawn (with a push mower, not a rider) burns 325 calories for an average yard and dare I say it, shoveling also burns a whopping 415 calories.

I gotta go clean something...
