It's Gourmet Guess Day, plus the best TV Dads and what's new on DVD.

Your Gourmet Guess clue for today: This has been traced to the Tang Dynasty and its literal translation means "sour tasting" as a nod to its fermentation roots. (Scroll down for the correct answer.)

When I was little, I always wanted to be like the families on TV. Their teachers came over for dinner, visited when the kids were having problems, etc. Then I realized that this was real life and NOT TV, but that's OK. I love my dad and I wouldn't trade him for anything. Now, just in time for Father's Day, a new Harris Interactive poll asked Americans who their favorite TV Dads are. Here are the Top Five:

5. Andy Taylor - The Andy Griffith Show

4. Howard Cunningham - Happy Days

3. Jim Anderson - Father Knows Best

2. Ward Cleaver - Leave it to Beaver

1. Cliff Huxtable - The Cosby Show

My pick didn't make the list this year. That would be Jason Seaver from Growing Pains, but I think I wanted him to be my Dad because I had a huge crush on Kirk Cameron. I guess the next best Dad would be Cliff Huxtable. He was funny and let his kids get away with everything. My Dad had a fairly serious job (he was a Deputy Sheriff) and when we got into trouble, he used that seriousness to communicate to us that getting into trouble was no fun and jail is not the place you want to be. Point. Taken.

New on DVD today:

Red Riding Hood - Starring Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman. This one is a werewolf version of the classic fairy tale. Oldman is a werewolf hunter who stirs up suspicion by telling his village a wolf is living among them. He figures out somehow that Amanda has a connection to the wolf and decides to sacrifice her as bait. Our Movie Maven Ileana calls this one is a RENT.

Battle: Los Angeles - Aaron Echart leads a group of Marines in a battle to take back L.A. after the rest of the world is destroyed by aliens. Ileana says to rent or buy is a toss up. If you're into the alien invasion action movies, BUY it. If you're not, RENT it.

Hall Pass - Own Wilson and Jason Sudeikis play two guys whose wives released them from their wedding vows for one week. Jenna Fisher and Christina Applegate play their wives. Ileana says BUY THIS.

Ileana's C.L.I.P of the Week is Kill the Irishman - Ray Stevenson stars as an Irish mobster locked in a turf war with the Italian mafia in 1976. Christopher Walkenm Val Kilmer and Vincent D'Onofrio also star.
