Morning Mix Show Notes 6/13

It's Monday! An update on the congresswoman who was shot in the head  in January, how to lose weight by putting on your pants and what not to do for Father's Day. 

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has released the first photos of her since she was shot in the head back in January. Except for her short dark hair (which I think is very sassy) she looks exactly the same. Staffers and friends say she has some trouble stringing together sentences and uses gestures and facial expressions sometimes to communication, but she's all there. She was also able to go watch her astronaut husband Mark Kelly blast off into space for the final Endeavor shuttle mission. Want to read more on this amazing story? Click here!

Want to make a million dollars? All you have to do is invent a product and label it as a "weight loss" product, and BANG! A million dollars. The latest fad is caffeinated leggings. A company called Lytess is selling pants with caffeine sewn in and they claim to help you lose fat. It doesn't say how you lose the fat, but you're supposed to wear them for a month and, viola! You're skinny! They retail for $70.

Looking for a gift for Dad for Father's Day? Here's what not to get him. 20 year old Britney apparently didn't get the memo on this one. She stole her future Father-In-Law's credit card and proceeded to rack up almost six thousand dollars in charges, mostly in wedding-related expenses. I know how much it costs to put a wedding together, as I'm paying for my wedding myself,  but wouldn't it be easier to look for ideas on how to do a wedding on a budget? No word on if it will be a prison wedding or not.
