Morning Mix Show Notes 1/17

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Billboard has put out a list of their favorite songs that were either inspired by or dedicated to the fallen civil rights leader. Topping the list is U2's "Pride (In the Name of Love)". Another U2 track made the list at #8 is "MLK". Bruce Springsteen, Queen and Ben Harper also made the list. You can view the Top Ten here.

Foreigner hit the nail on the head with the song "Blue Morning, Blue Day". The Mother Nature Network has named today, January 17 the most depressing day of the year. Why you ask? Researchers suggest that it's because there's hardly any daylight, most people have already blown their New Year's resolutions and the Christmas credit card debt is coming due. Makes sense to me. Handsome Mcdevil and Viking mcrunning back Adrian Peterson recently cost a woman her Mcjob by walking up to the drive-thru Mcwindow at a St. Paul McDonald's and asking if he could come in to use the Mcbathroom. She recognized the man as the star Mcrunning back and unlocked the Mcdoor at 3am to let him do his Mcthing. The boss found out what happened, and the woman was Mcfired. She reached out to Adrian on his Facebook page to see if he would Mcsay something on her behalf, but heard Mcnothing from #28. However, once local Mcmedia caught wind of the story, the company offered her her Mcjob back, which she accepted.
