The Gourmet Guess, the seven billionth person was born yesterday, but where were they born and the last time we ever talk about Kim Kardashian.

The United Nations declared that yesterday the seven billionth person was going to be born, but no one with the U.N. said exactly where this baby would be born, so there are no less than five countries laying claim to the seven billionth person. The Philippines say they have the seven billionth person. A baby named Danica May was born in a hospital in Manila. A baby named Peter was born at a hospital in London and was declared the seven billionth person by a member of the House of Parliament. India has the second highest population on Earth, so it would make sense that they would have the seven billionth person. A baby known as Nargis was born there yesterday and a government official declared her the seven billionth. Russia also claims the seven billionth person is a baby named Peter who was born at 12:02am yesterday morning. He was even given a special birth certificate declaring him the seven billionth person. And of course, we here in the good old U.S. of A. are claiming the seven billionth person was born in Colorado. No gender was given and no name has been selected and Pete rejects that on principle saying that if there's no name, they're not real. He, by the way is personally declaring the Peters as the seven billionth people. Go figure.

Tabloids are always claiming people are pregnant and getting divorced, and in this case, whomever said there was trouble in paradise for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries was spot on because Kim filed for divorce yesterday after just 72 days of marriage. She checked the all encompassing oft-used old standby "Irreconcilable Differences" box. She also asks that Kris be denied spousal support. She did issue a statement and said that she had "hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best." There are a million rumors swirling about why they split, but Kim was filmed saying that she didn't want to settle for a "lesser lifestyle" than what she was accustomed to and that "yee-haw Minnesota" was fine for him, but she didn't want anything to do with it. It sounds like she's admitting she made a mistake and Kris was blindsided by the filing. He also issued a statement and said that he is "committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work." This was Kim's second marriage. She was married for four years to a music producer before she was famous. My guess is that she was looking for a music career and when it didn't pan out, she pulled the plug. Kim is on the way to Australia to promote her  handbag line. I invited Kris to come to St. Cloud for some Yee Haw Minnesota Tater Tot Hotdish, tennis ball hockey and hoops. I hope he takes me up on the offer because I really feel sad for him.
