I respect guns, but they also scare the crap out of me. I'd opt for giving an intruder a total beat-down before grabbing a gun, as I'd be afraid it could get turned on me. In her case, the intruder had a knife and it was just her and her young baby. It was legal to shoot, so she did. Even if I was pointing a gun at him, I'd have a hard time pulling the trigger. It's a life I'd be taking, no matter what kind of an animal he is.
