Well, that's just ruff.

A music festival fundraiser to benefit Minnesota foster animals was forced to postpone after receiving a cease-and-desist letter.

Secondhand Hounds -- a non-profit animal shelter based in Eden Prairie -- was forced to postpone their pet-centric music festival Chowchella 2018 after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from California arts and music festival Coachella.

Secondhand Hounds shared in a post to the event's Facebook page:

"Due to multiple unforeseen circumstances, including a cease and desist letter from Coachella, Secondhand Hounds has decided to postpone our Music Festival."

While no details were given as to the reason for the cease-and-desist, it seems likely that the "Chowchella" was too closely named for Coachella's liking.

The music festival fundraiser was originally scheduled for August 5 but has been postponed for sometime in 2019 instead, Secondhand Hounds says.

"Our priority is always the animals and we want to have the adequate time and energy to create an amazing fundraiser that will benefit our rescues. Plans are already in the works for a 2019 (renamed) music event that will be a big win for people and animals alike!"

Chowchella 2018's lineup included country artists Hitchfest, Jackie Lee, Steve Moakler and former American Idol contestant Trent Harmon.
