The results are in, and Minnesotan's favorite Jelly Bean flavor is...Black Licorice.

CandyStore.com recently did some pretty sweet research on Jelly Beans. Using their own sales data from the last 10 years as well as SurveyMonkey and Facebook polls, they determined the most popular Jelly Bean flavors of all 50 states and ranked the top 32 flavors nationally.

This year's #1 favorite flavor was Buttered Popcorn *cue more gags*, beating out last year's top palate pleaser Black Licorice. CandyStore.com notes that Buttered Popcorn is a pretty polarizing flavor, even receiving some nasty comments in the survey forms. But when the votes were tallied up, it still came out on top. Black Licorice, for its own part, was one of the original Jelly Bean flavors back in the 1970's and remains a general favorite still.
