The sun was shining at Hilde Park in Plymouth, Minnesota for Moving Day -Twin Cities, a walk for Parkinson's. This was our second year in a row participating, and we more than doubled our fundraising goal. Team Bumpa (named for my father-in-law) set a goal of $500, and ended up with over $1400 by the morning of the walk. The National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota raised over $260,000 by 11:30 am on Saturday, May 2nd.

Check out some pics from Moving Day -Twin Cities below. Thanks to my family, friends and listeners for their generous support. It means a lot and will help individuals right here in Minnesota that are fighting this terrible disease.

Teams and individuals from across the state of Minnesota were on hand to support the annual walk. I enjoyed meeting all the courageous survivors and their families. Some walked in honor of a loved one, and some walked to show they will continue the fight. Whatever the reason, it was moving to see thousands of Minnesotans standing together for one cause.

Below is a picture of my father-in-law, John T Schaffner. He passed away two years ago from Parkinson's. We love you "Bumpa," and think about you daily. Thanks for watching over us and keeping us safe. We will continue to honor your life and legacy.
