School Choice Week started yesterday in Minnesota and across the United States. Throughout the Week, there are 194 school choice events planned across the state.

School Choice Week events in Minnesota include open houses, information sessions, policy round table discussions and more – planned by schools, organizations, home school groups and individuals. The goal of the events is to inform parents about the K-12 education opportunities / options available for their children.

The Minnesota cities with the most events include Minneapolis (42), St. Paul (42), Rochester (9), St. Cloud (6), and Duluth (6).

National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for children, including traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, online academies, private schools, and homeschooling.
