Well here's something that will make all Minnesotans happy. Apparently, SHIVERING for 10-15 minutes burns as many calories as an hour of moderate exercise. Take that info to your trainer!  There's one good thing about the weather!

Researchers found that being chilly and working out both produce 'Brown Fat', which is a good kind of fat that burns calories.  On another note, a separate survey out of the Netherlands also found that working in the cold weather can raise your metabolism.
