I don't know about you, but I love summer road trips. Wallet Hub decided to do the work for us and rate the United States based on what ones stack up as the best and worst for going on a long summer drive.

Good news for us, Minnesota came in third behind number two ranked North Carolina and first place Wyoming...WYOMING?! Am I the only person who can't seem to understand how Wyoming came in first? I've driven through that state and there was NOTHING to look at. I couldn't wait to drive OUT of that state.

The rest of the top ten included fourth place Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Washington, New York, Utah and Colorado.

States were evaluated based on their road quality, traffic, driving laws, national parks and other activities and attractions. Weather played a factor, as did scenery, shoreline and gas prices.

So, not bad, Minnesota! Perhaps now you might consider going on a summer road trip through our great state this year!
