Minnesota kids obviously drew the shortest string of floss on this one.

According to a new survey done by The Original Tooth Fairy Poll, payouts for lost teeth are at an all time high. The average price for a lost tooth is $4.66 compared to $3.91 in 2015. The Tooth Fairy also got into the habit of leaving small gifts that encourage dental health like toothbrushes, or floss, under the pillow as well.

If we break it down by region, kids out west are getting the most bang for their tooth. They are getting close to $6 for their lost teeth, where as kids here in the Midwest are only getting about $4.

When I was a kid, getting a whole dollar for my lost tooth seemed like a big deal. I guess the Tooth Fairy has stepped her game up since then!
