According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the entire northern half of the state is experiencing peak fall colors this weekend, with some areas near the northern border already past-peak.

Looking for a little guidance for your weekend fall color drive? Places like Alexandria, Morris, Brainerd, Wadena, Bemidji, Little Falls, and Crow Wing State Park are peaking right now -- so including those in your plans would be a good bet.

We're still only listed as 25-50 percent of peak fall colors here in Saint Cloud.

This fall's transition from green to brilliant has been ahead of the past years. As you can see below, 2018 and 2019 were not nearly as far along as we are here in 2020.

Last Saturday Amie and drove over to Onamia and hiked for a couple of hours through Mille Lacs Kathio State Park, which according to the DNR was at 50-75 percent of peak color last weekend -- and it was absolutely gorgeous. It rained on our entire drive to the park. The sun came out when we got there, and stayed out for a few hours. It started to rain again when we got back to the car. Thanks for the break Mother Nature. ☀️

You can use the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' 'Trip Planner' to plan a nice little weekend road trip or getaway HERE.

Even though the map says our area has yet to reach peak, I feel like we're finally beginning to see some significant color change here in the St. Cloud area. Send us your pics!
