It's almost time for fair season to start with the Benton County Fair about two weeks away, and the Minnesota State Fair a little over a month away. It's definitely safe to say that I've had cheese curds on my brain since this time last year. Is there anything better to enjoy than a batch of fresh deep fried curds accompanied with your favorite dipping sauce?

My sauce of choice is definitely ranch dressing. I didn't say it was healthy, but it sure is good. My husband eats his cheese curds with honey, and he swears that it's the best pairing in the world. I personally think it seems a little strange. But, to each his own.

I'm not a huge fan of eating cheese curds with marinara sauce, because I feel like I'm eating a mozzarella stick when I do things that way. It's not a bad flavor, but it overpowers the delightful flavor of the curd.
