She's one of the biggest stars on the planet, and she performed three sold-out shows at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul over the weekend. Taylor Swift entertained over 45,000 fans over the course of her stay in the Twin Cities, and put on one of the best shows I've ever seen in my career. I was thoroughly entertained for the entire two hours she was on stage. It was visually stunning, with special effects and video that could rival a major Hollywood production.

Prior to Taylor taking the stage on Friday night (9/11), she held a meet and greet for radio programmers and family. We were escorted by a member of her record label (Republic) to an area backstage called 'Loft 89,' where they treated us to appetizers and drinks before getting a chance to chat with Taylor Swift.

We could take pics in the loft prior to Taylor's arrival, and then all cell phones and cameras had to be put away.

Before Taylor entered the room, I reminded Macy to keep her cool and remember she's representing the radio station. We spent about 20 minutes in the loft before Taylor arrived to meet everybody. She went around the room and visited with everyone individually. She's the sweetest and most professional person I've ever had the privilege to meet in the music business. Taylor deserves every ounce of success she's earned and more.

After we had a chance to visit with Taylor and take a picture, she made an announcement that her mother would be giving us all an exclusive backstage tour. I see where Taylor gets her personality from! Mom Swift was just as sweet as her daughter. She told us how long it took to put the tour together, how many people they take on tour (I believe it was close to 150) and even how many planes it takes to take the tour overseas (two 747's).
