Meet Our New Intern, Kayla

We have several amazing new interns who will be working with us this summer! Today, we introduce you to Kayla. She's not wasting any time getting to work around here. She started by writing her first website post explaining how she got this very cool gig!

As I stood in line to meet Demi Lovato at her Neon Lights Tour appearance, I was beyond excited to see my favorite musician and my inspiration for my own singing. Little did I know that the person in front of me would be my true VIP and change my life more than the 5 second picture with Demi. Yes, that person was our very own, Chad Taylor (oops! can’t forget his adorable daughter, Macy!).

As an aspiring singer, I was thrilled to just talk to someone who was not only so experienced, but incredibly kind and compassionate. After telling him a little about myself, before I knew it he had invited me to come to the Mix 94.9 studio and take me under his wing. If that wasn’t enough, he has given me the opportunity to be the new intern. If I was thrilled before, it would be fair to say that now I am speechless.

I knew that the concert and meet and greet with Demi Lovato would be an unforgettable moment; however I had no idea that a life changing door would open. That said, I finish my first post, and start this journey with a quote of encouragement:
