Granite City on Tap was a stroll through paradise, for beer lovers alike.

Over one-hundred-craft beers and ciders were on hand for your taste buds during the Granite City on Tap Beer Festival this past Saturday (September 13, 2014) at the Benton County Fair Grounds.

I made my way around the festival, I'm pretty sure I hit at least one beer from each vendor, and there were some that were EXTREMELY tasty and others that I poured on to the grass pretty quickly. Overall, delicious beers and a great outdoor event for a Saturday afternoon.

My TOP THREE BEERS from the weekend look like this...

3. Hazed and Infused, from Boulder Beer Company in Boulder, CO comes in at number three. I bought a 12-pack of this after the beer party and I quickly learned, moderation. I woke up Sunday thinking death was a better option… the beer is delicious, it’ll find it’s way back to my fridge, but come ready with some ibuprofen and yellow gatorade.

2. Firebrick from Schell’s Brewing Company, LOCAL beer, from New Ulm, MN gets the nod at number two. Besides having a bad ass name like “Firebrick”, this is a tasty beer. I went back to the Schell’s booth four, maybe five times to get some Firebrick. My buddy bought this for the rest of Saturday night and he took care of it pretty easily.

1. Lonely Blonde comes in at number one from Fulton Brewing Company, another local beer, made in Minneapolis. My future father-in-law, my buddy, Donnie and I all agree that Lonely Blonde was the beer of the day, BUT… none of us decided to pick any up when we went on a beer run. Idiots, I know, this is the only blonde I can actually pay to get back to my house, legally.
