ST. CLOUD- Catholic Charities of St. Cloud are hosting the 35th annual Mardi Gras. The event will feature food, a silent auction, and entertainment from the Fabulous Armadillos.

The big ticket item at the silent auction is a bottle of bourbon valued at $10,000.00 dollars.

Money from the event will be used to benefit the Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf and Catholic Charities Domus Transitional Housing.

Trina Dietz, the Communications Director for Catholic Charities of St. Cloud, says "Domus Transitional Housing is a facility for homeless women and children. We take time for our moms learn about good parenting skills, helping them make good financial decisions".

Dietz says the goal for this year is to raise more money than last year. She also says the even is sold out.

The Mardi Gras event is taking place this Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Rivers Edge Convention Center.
