Last week's Polar Vortex may have been cold, but that didn't stop Minnesotans from making headlines locally and nationally for all sorts of reasons.

To start with, there was the hilarious Alexandria, MN cafe's "Degrees Below Zero Discount" video. There was the U of M student who wore shorts outside and "declined to give his last name because he said his mom would be mad at him for how he was dressed..." You had the Rochester kids who attempted to set a Guinness World Record for playing the coldest hockey game ever. And then, of course, there was the hilarious appearance of Twin Cities Live's Steve Patterson with a live weather report on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

And those are only some of the fantastic headline-worthy stories to come out of Minnesota last week.

Well, there's another one worth mentioning, and you may have already seen this for yourself.

On Thursday, January 31 Danika Brinda of Maple Grove posted a video to Youtube of her daughter throwing a pair of pants into the air, freezing, and sticking the landing.

"When it was -50 degrees in Maple Grove, Minnesota, we went out and did some crazy winter tricks! This was by far the best!!!!"

Since its posting, the video has been viewed over 19,000 times and been picked up by ABC News.
