Local Singer Pays Tribute to Central Minnesota’s Favorite ‘Teen Idol’ [VIDEO]

When you mention the name 'Bobby Vee' to anyone in central Minnesota, a smile comes across their face. We take pride in calling Bobby one of our own, and someone who represents what's BEST about the Midwest music scene. Bobby Vee came to national attention at a time when music needed him the most. He bravely filled a hole left by music superstars who were cut down in the prime of their careers in the winter of 1959. Its called 'The Day the Music Died' by most.

Join local singer / songwriter Justin Ploof as he pays tribute to one of the longest lasting teen idols of the 1960s. Justin's one-man show takes you up the charts, through America in the 60s, and behind the music of Bobby Vee. Along with the timeless music, you will be transported back in time with archival footage to help tell the story.
