STAMP OUT HUNGER SATURDAY, MAY 9TH

Our friend Trina Dietz, Communications Coordinator at Catholic Charities told us about "Stamp Out Hunger," the largest one-day food drive in the nation. It is returning to Central Minnesota on Saturday, May 9th.The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will host the event , and will be collecting food donations to benefit local food shelves.

In the Saint Cloud area, the drive will benefit the Salvation Army Food Shelf and Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf.

PARTICIPATION

To participate, residents should collect non-perishable food donations in their mailbox or post office prior to their mail being delivered on May 9th. Cash and checks will also be accepted. Checks can be made payable to Catholic Charities or the Salvation Army.

THE BOY SCOUTS ARE ALSO COLLECTING

Local Boy Scout Troops are also partnering to collect food donations, and will be volunteering at the distribution center.
