Lightning Strike Sparks Fire at Cold Spring Home

COLD SPRING -- Fire crews were called to the scene of a house fire Saturdy evening.

The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. at 15971 River Bend Lane in Wakefield Township, near Cold Spring.

The Stearns County Sheriffs Office says 58-year-old David Dold, of Cold Spring, called to report lightning had struck the house near the gas line which sparked the fire.

Crews were able to put the fire out, but not before it cause minor damed to the garage and gas main for the house.

No one was hurt in the fire.
