UNDATED - Some late season thunderstorms moved across the area early Wednesday morning. Thunderstorm warnings were issued by the National Weather Service from 12:45 a.m. until 2:45 a.m. for area counties, including: Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Todd and Morrison counties.

It was part of a much larger line of storms that extended from north of Brainerd to south of Hutchinson.

The line of storms had 60-70 mile an hour winds, nickel size hail, and heavy rain.

Here at the radio station, we had more than an inch of rain as the storm passed through. We entered the day nearly two inches of rain below normal so far for the month of September.
