ST. CLOUD - The Lamont Cranston Band will be taking the stage tonight at Summertime by George. This is the band's first time performing at Summertime by George. Lamont Cranston Band was founded by front-man Pat Hayes and his brother Larry; Pat still plays with the band today. They've played across the United States including shows in Dan Aykroyd's House of Blues in Chicago, Cleveland, and Atlantic City. Hayes says the Lamont Cranston Band is just a boogie blues band.

We write our own material. We do a lot of originals and some standard blues covers and some R&B stuff. We're basically a good time band, kind of a boogie band, up-tempo. We're not going to play that low, slow stuff. We're going to rock your socks off and boogie.

Hayes says you might not recognize some of the songs they play, but keep an open mind about the music.

A lot of people, if they don't know anything about us they've got to have an open mind because we're playing stuff they've never heard before, but a lot of times we're playing for crowds that are really into what we're doing and it's great.

The Lamont Cranston Band will take the stage at 6:30 p.m.

Opening tonight's concert will be a four piece cover band performing guitar-driven rock. Southbound will start playing starting at 5:00 p.m.
