Lady Gaga is reportedly set to make her film debut in the forthcoming ‘Men In Black’ sequel. While one might expect such news to come via a tweet from Gaga herself, word spread like wildfire on the web after franchise star Will Smith accidentally spilled the beans to a Brazilian website during a promotional trip to Rio last week.

Supposedly, Smith told Brazilian website ElCorilloRD.com (via WENN) that the film will be teeming with celeb cameos. “We have a couple of celebrity cameos, but I cannot reveal who they are. We must keep as a surprise that Lady Gaga appears,” Smith reportedly said.

So was Smith speaking off the record? His statements seem to contradict one another, since he first says, “I cannot reveal who they are,” and then says the Mother Monster will be in the movie. Perhaps he was trying to throw film buffs and scoop sleuths off the scent?

Could you imagine Gaga in ‘MIB?’ It’d be a great franchise for her to align herself with, given the blockbuster status. She has expressed interest in crossing over into film one day, so it’s not as far-fetched as it may seem.
