A new survey found a lot of kids spend less time outside on an average day than prison inmates. One in three kids between the ages of five and twelve years old play outside for around 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the U.N. guidelines require that prisoners get at least one hour a day outdoors. This is mind boggling to me! When I was a kid, we were outside playing from sun up to sun down. It was considered a punishment to have to stay inside the house.

We need to get the kids off the iPads and back in the park! Its time to set limits for the gadgets, and show them the benefits of just being a kid with an imagination. #GoOutside
