My Co Host Chad Taylor was teasing me this morning, about being "nice" all the time. We both agree, that being "nice" is a great thing!  If you think you're a little on the 'cranky' side, maybe these tips can help you out.

SMILE

You might be the nicest person in the world....so let people know. If you don't smile, people may be afraid to approach you. Smiling not only can open the door for you to make more friends, it also can make someone else's day.

ACKNOWLEDGE OTHER PEOPLE

My friends in school used to beat me up for this. I'm the girl that passes a stranger on the street but still says hello or hi to everyone. Letting people know that you acknowledge them, will make people feel a little more confident and warm. Everyone wants to be recognized.

ASK PEOPLE HOW THEY ARE DOING

Ask people how they are doing just to show you care. You don't want to be nosy, or intrusive. Just ask...if they need to talk, look them in the eyes and be an ear for them to speak.  Letting people talk about their feelings, whether good or bad, is always a nice thing to do.

BE COURTEOUS

Always say, please, thank you, your welcome...Open doors for people.  Just being courteous will make you feel better about yourself and you'll make someone feel just a little bit more special.

BE POSITIVE

Having a bad day can always become a better day, when you look at it in a different way.  Have a positive attitude, and you will make other people's days better too.
