Excuses. I'm full of them. Although...I feel like they are legitimate excuses. What do I use these excuses for? Specifically, weightloss. I really do have three kids to take care of. I really do start work at 3am. I really do try to clean my house, do laundry, and make supper. AND...I really get tired!

So how do we EVER get the OTHER things done in our lives that we want to accomplish? Losing weight takes effort...You would think that I wouldn't have time to eat then...right? Hmmm......

Here are the top excuses for weight loss issues, and how to overcome them.

  • I DON'T HAVE TIME

Check your priorities.  Your health should be at the very TOP of the list.  If you're working two jobs, maybe you should be looking for a job that will pay you more for less time spent. Try to combine time with the kids, with healthy activities and meals together. If all else fails, try to get up a little earlier, or stay up a little later.

  • I DON'T FEEL GOOD OR I'M TOO TIRED

This is my excuse.  It's not necessarily that I don't feel good, but it could be that I have a headache...I'm sleepy...my back is out.  Even moderate exercise will make us feel better, as well as eating a healthier more balanced meal.

  • I CAN'T AFFORD TO EAT HEALTHY

Believe it or not, if you're just eating fruits and veggies, you should be able to eat fairly inexpensively. You don't have to fix big fancy meals to be healthy. Sometimes it's exactly the opposite. Lose the bread, the fried food, and the meats for a while. You'll be fine!

  • EXERCISE IS TOO DIFFICULT

Believe it or not, exercise doesn't have to be hard to be effective.  Try yoga...go for a walk....do some jumping jacks... Exercise also becomes easier the more you do it. Try to do it a little each day.

  • I'M TOO OLD

You already know the answer to this.  Start off slowly...and work your way into more. You'll feel better and you'll feel less old. You are never to old to MOVE.   :)
