WABASHA STREET CAVES HISTORY

Wabasha Street Caves, located at 215 Wabasha Street in St. Paul, was host for big name gangsters like John Dillinger, and Ma Barker. The caves are said to be haunted by some not so lucky gangsters that were massacred in a back room, and then buried in the cement floors. Yikes...!!!!!  That's spooky, if you ask me.

DON'T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS? THINK AGAIN!

Don't believe in ghosts? Then have a chat with employees and guests of the caves. They've seen strange mists floating through the hallways, figures dressed in 1920's clothing...There's even a ghost bartender that people have seen refilling wine glasses. They also believe there is an apparition that appears in full 1920's clothing, who they believe to be a Madam named Nina Clifford.

DANCING IN THE CAVES?

By the way...If YOU want to take a step back in time, II thought this sounded like a blast. On Thursday nights, they have SWING night! They actually have big band LIVE music, in the caves....a huge dance floor area. What makes this really neat is that you have to know the speakeasy password to be allowed inside.  FYI: The password is: Gus sent me. They actually have lessons at 6:15, followed by live music from 7 to 10.
