Katy Perry Releases New Olympic Anthem – Rise

Late last night Katy Perry surprised fans worldwide by releasing her first new single since 2013! Can you believe it has been three whole years since we heard new music from her!?

"Rise" is the name of the single she released on Thursday at 11 PM Eastern time. It is the perfect motivational song and is going to be used for the upcoming NBC coverage of the  Summer Olympic games. Katy released this statement about the song,

“This is a song that’s been brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface. I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite,”
