Katy Perry Opens Up To Vanity Fair

Mrs. Brand is looking elegant and alluring in the most recent issue of Vanity Fair that hits newsstands Thursday-

In the June issue, Katy dishes about her ultra-conservative religious upbringing, her explosive success and her marriage to wild-man Russell Brand.

Born to a pair of evangelical parents, she achieved early success in the Christian music arena, before jumping the shark and going pop. She comes clean about her early hit 'I Kissed A Girl' and admits she was uncomfortable talking about it, but felt it was something that was going on, and she needed to sing about it.

Perry also gives it up for her fans, saying they're the reason she keeps on doing what she does;

Perry is adamant that, regardless of what else is going on in her life, her music should be her main draw to her fans: “I don’t care what people say about my relationship; I don’t care what they say about my boobs. People are buying my songs; I have a sold-out tour. I’m getting incredible feedback from my music.”
