Selena Gomez is at the top of her game right now, with 'Stars Dance' on track to land at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart next week. She's pretty much everywhere and in a new revealing interview, she reconfirms that she is not with Justin Bieber, but also reveals their continued connection and why the media continues to capture photos of them together. She also explains why she keeps her faith private and why she is stoked about being a big sis, despite a two-decade age gap between herself and her baby sis.

When asked about the media blowing her relationship with the Biebs out of proportion, assuming their "togetherness" with a barrage of reunion headlines every time they are seen together, she said, "I've known him for a really long time and we enjoy each other's company every now and then. But I'm definitely single and enjoying being that."

So they still like to hang and are on good terms, and that's why they Instagram photos and such. Wow. Sounds like a healthy and adult way to navigate a media-followed split. (And, uh, booty calls.) Nice work, Jelena.

Gomez's faith was discussed, since she very publicly thanked her Bible study group in the liner notes of 'Stars Dance.' Her beliefs are not a topic she is super chatty about ... until now ... sort of.

"I think it's been important for me to kind of keep all of that part of me private just because I know it's such a sensitive subject for everyone and what I believe is maybe not necessarily what you believe and what everyone else believes," she said, measuring her words so as not to alienate anyone. "It is very important for me to acknowledge it because I'm not ashamed of it, but at the same time I know that people get kind of sensitive with it, so that was really for them."

While saying that her new album differs from previous efforts, since they "were very processed and a little bit rushed in a way," Sel Go is happy that she has the "time to share my life story and just where I am was really fun for me."

She continued, "There were moments where I would kind of be a little emotional, talking about things I made sure I executed perfectly because it was such a sensitive subject. (And) being with the producers and being honest because I never really had time to do that before."

Gomez had another huge life even this summer when her mother Mandy welcomed a daughter with Sel's stepdad Brian Teefey. She's excited to be almost like an aunt to Gracie, since there is an age differential of two decades. No battling over boys or bras!

"It's crazy," the 'Come & Get It' singer said. "There's a 21-year age gap, which is OK, but it's actually really amazing because we won't be fighting over boys or clothes, so I'll be able to be a cool aunt in a way. But I'm absolutely obsessed."

Gracie's a lucky gal to have Sel in her life.
