Justin Timberlake has always been very talented.  This is obvious when he sings, dances, acts, etc.  But he has another side, that many people are not aware of - a very soft, giving, and most importantly, charitable side.

Which brings us directly to the fourth annual "Justin Timberlake & Friends Old School Jam".  The benefit concert is on October 1st at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and 100% of the proceeds go to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Good cause, and it's a good thing, because this event is not a cheap one.  Tickets range from $100 to $1,000, and it is rumored that the benefit will be on "pay per view" to most cable outlets for @ $69.99.

I doubt I'll be in Vegas that weekend, but I might try to gather up some friends, have them all throw in a few bucks, and have a little "Old School" party at my house!  The line-up is full of big names, as well as a few head - scratchers.

Because it's "Old School", you know there will be some legends at the benefit.  As far as classic R & B goes, there is no bigger name than Earth, Wind & Fire.  The Commodores (yes, with Lionel Ritchie) will perform.  Rap pioneers Sugar Hill Gang will be there, as will disco legend Sister Sledge.

And if you were looking for a "questionable 90's" segment of the show - may I present to you Vanilla Ice.  Oh, it gets better.  Do you remember Color Me Badd?  You're lucky if you don't.

But these are all acts that Justin Timberlake says have been major influences on his career - and I could see him singing CMB's "Sex You Up" - couldn't you?

And the entire show is going to be hosted by Timberlake and Wayne Brady.  That means it is probably going to be pretty funny, as well.

Tickets went on sale today, so get yours fast.  That is, if you're filthy rich.  And if you're going to be in Las Vegas that weekend.

If you're filthy rich, I suppose you could be in Las Vegas on any weekend, actually.

Point is - it's gonna be a great show - and I'm gonna do the "pay per view" thing.  Or should I say thaaaaang.  Ice, Ice, BABY!
