Jessica Simpson Is Getting Heat for Putting Her Baby in a Bikini [POLL]

Jessica Simpson has been in the news recently for her 40 pound weight loss with Weigh Watchers. But it's her decision to post a picture of her daughter in a baby bikini that is getting more attention.

Jessica was on Katie, Katie Couric's new ABC talk show on Monday and talked about being a new mommy.

"Motherhood is a dream. It really is absolutely amazing. [Maxwell] had her first flight yesterday. Did not sleep! She didn't cry. She just wanted to babble."

After her moment of zen talking about Maxwell, Katie shows the picture of Maxwell in her baby bikini. While the audience members Ohh'd and Ahh'd, one child welfare activist spouted off.

"It is very disturbing to see a young baby presented to the world wearing a bikini. Celebrity choices carry great influence, as can be seen by the manner in which their accessories and behaviors are copied widely. It is to be hoped that parents will understand that 'baby bikinis' are totally inappropriate, and that they contribute to the sexualization and commercialization of childhood."

Do you think a baby in a bikini is inappropriate? I personally find it adorable! Pregnant women in bikini's are adorable, too! Pregnancy is an amazing thing and so are babies. I see people on the beach wearing bikini's that should not be, but who cares. If you don't like it, don't look, right?!
