It's true. I haven't thrown up in 15 years and 10 months. I was sick yesterday, and I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't just a little nervous that my streak would end. But, my streak is alive and well.

As if this streak didn't already seem random and weird enough, I even know the exact day that I last puked. It was on May 1, 2000. How do I know that you ask? Good question--I'm glad you asked. It was the day before my mom and dad's wedding anniversary and I remember not being able to eat any of the dessert or dinner that my mom made for the special occasion.

Now, I have had some close encounters with suspect food, germs and filthy incidents. But, I've been able to resist the barf with every sick day I've had. It's been 5,874 days since my last incident.

Just to give you an idea of how long ago this actually was, here are just a few things that happened that year; "Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire" was released, the movie "Cast Away" made its debut, the first season of the TV show Survivor aired in 2000, Gilmore Girls premiered, "Bennifer" (Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aninston) were married, Britney Spears shocked everyone in her nude suit at the VMA's and Nsync was still a thing. A lot has happened since then.

Here's to hoping I'm not jinxing myself by talking about it.
