I’m A Scaredy-TAT! Do You Have Tips For Tats?

WHAT'S A SCAREDY-TAT?

A scaredy-tat is someone that is afraid of getting their first tattoo, but still wants to do it. I'm getting really excited about my first and possibly last tattoo. I'm headed over to Wingnut Tattoo & Piercing Studio in St. Cloud. I've designed it myself to reflect my love for radio and music in general, and the way I feel about life today. (Don't worry mom...it's all good.) Here's my design:

TIPS FOR GETTING A TAT?

So what advice would you give someone getting their first tattoo?  Things I've been told so far:

• Deal with the pain naturally. Taking a pain killer beforehand will thin your blood.
• Bring your ipod...listen to your music and focus on something else.
• Get your tat somewhere 'meaty'.  Close to bones ...NO!
• Make sure your tat has meaning.
• Make sure you're tat won't ever become a regret.  Like a boyfriends name.
• Find a tattoo artist with a light touch.
