Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint

Summary: The long-awaited conclusion to the Harry Potter saga has finally arrived. Picking up exactly where part one left off, we find Harry, Ron, and Hermione still searching for the remaining horcruxes. Their search takes them to Gringotts where they must battle a dragon, and then later to Hogwarts castle. Now that Lord Voldemort is aware of Harry’s mission to destroy horcruxes he takes his evil army to Hogwarts to stop Harry once and for all. Loved ones are lost and loyalties are tested as an epic battle ensues between the forces of good and evil.

I’m happy to say that all the key moments from the book have made it in, though they’ve been changed a bit. My favorite scene from the book involving Snape (a certain compilation of flashback memories) was wonderfully done and brought a tear to my eye. My one complaint with the movie was that it felt a bit rushed. While the other Harry Potter movies average a running time of 152 minutes, this one comes in at 130. Couldn’t the filmmakers add about 20 minutes of footage to the battle scenes to make them flow better? Although they were able to touch on every key point in the book, the battles felt a bit rushed.

On a good note, the 3D conversion was done well. You can tell the filmmakers took their time on it and delivered quality work. I wouldn’t be surprised if they convert the other seven films and re-release them at a later time. Something tells me this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Harry Potter.
